The Matchgirls’ Strike -a Great granddaughter’s Perspective. Thu 15th September 2022 at 7.30pm

Sam Johnson, Great Granddaughter of Sarah Chapman will tell the remarkable “hidden” history of the Matchgirl Strike Leader

The talk will provide a summary of the social conditions that led up to the Strike, the Strike itself and Sam Johnson’s Great Grandmother’s role in it. 

This will include information about the charitable organisation which has been created in order to commemorate the Strike and raise awareness of the landmark victory.

This will be a hybrid talk ie taking place with both a real life audience and virtually via Zoom. No booking is required for attendance in person. Details of the venue can be found here
