History Tour of St Peter-in-the-Forest. Thu 7 April 2022 at 1pm

Journey through 182 years of history, using the stones, memorials, and art of our recently-renovated Victorian church.

This tour will tell the story of our forest church from its consecration in 1840 to the present day. The story of St Peter-in-the-Forest is also the story of the development and urbanisation of Walthamstow, so expect a good blend of architectural, cultural, and social history.

The tour takes place on a day full of community activities, including things outdoors and inside, and a community lunch. If you turn up at midday, you will be able to enjoy food before your tour!

This tour is part of our wider National Lottery Heritage Fund(ed) activity plan. For more information about the rest of our Easter activites, please visit our website: http://www.stpeterintheforest.org/events
