History Walking Tour ‘Walthamstow in 10 Buildings Saturdays 9th & 16th July 2022 at 12pm

This walk will look at the lives, experiences, and customs of Walthamstow folk through the lens of buildings and development of the area

Led by Penny Rafter, a very experienced guide and enthusiast of all things Walthamstow, we will explore the story of local life from the ancient settlement of Walthamstow right up to the present day.

The walk will meet at St Mary’s Walthamstow and finish up at St Peter’s. Please join promptly so we can begin as a group. When the walk finishes, why not stay with us for a spot of lunch in our Rising Son community cafe? The walk will be gentle, but please do wear comfortable footwear. Our fingers are crossed for a bright sunny day (in which case do bring all the usuals: hat, suncream, and water), but we will be going ahead even if there is a spot of rain.

This event is part of St Peter’s summer arts festival, ‘Forestival’. For details of the rest of our exciting programme, including art for all ages, music and cinema, please visit our website: https://www.stpeterintheforest.org/events

Please cancel at least 48 hours before the event to receive a refund – as this means we have time to re-advertise your ticket.
